Fleance's Diary
Dear Diary,
I had just witnessed the most horrible terrtifying thing. Macbeth and his nobles murdered my father. They had tried to murder me too, but I got away. Here's what I remember: my father Banquo and I were getting on a train to go somewhere. We just got on, when the servants started to pass out food and drinks. My father asked for a drink and as soon as it went down his throat he started choking. As my father sank to the ground, that's when the nobles(which were the servants in disguise) got a hold of me. I rustled around to get free, and finally one of of the men loosened his grip. I ran off leaving my poor, dead father forever. After that whole thing happened of course I was angered but I knew I should go into hiding because Macbeth wants to kill me too. I also know he wanted to murder me and my father so that he can stay king. From now on I shall stay far away from the castle as possible. Tommorow I will try to find a new hiding place and find a way to live without family.

Macbeth's Diary
Dear Diary,
I have done a very bad deed today. A very regretful thing that I will never ever forget. My wife and I...we killed the king in his chambers overnight. I didn't want to go through with it but Lady Macbeth sucked me into it. She told me of all the fame and fortune we would have if I would become king. It feels like i'm always under her control. Anyway, after I did the deed, blood washed over my hands and the knives that I used were stained with blood. Lady told me I was a fool for bringing the knives so she went back and hid them. When she came back, her whole upper body was covered in blood. The reason was because she made it seem like the guards did it. We quickly left the castle to wash up.After that whole night happened, I knew I shouldn't have let my wife trick me into murdering the king. I feel really bad that I actually went through with it. I am also relived because now I won't have anxiety over who becomes king besides me. The next day when the nobles went to go wake up the king they found they found him dead. I felt bad because I had to lie to his family and the nobles. Lady played along and fainted when the nobles told her the news. The king's sons however were worried that people were going to suspect that they were the murderers. So they both ran away. One to England and the other one to Ireland. So tommorow Lady Macbeth and I will become king and queen of the whole kingdom. I hope everything goes well.

Lady Macbeth's diary
I just got back home and read a message that my husband sent. He is going to be king! The thing that he is only worried about is how Banquo's children may also become even more royal than he is. I just want him to king no matter what it takes. It was meant for him to be king otherwise the witches wouldn't have said so. He has already made it to thane of cordore and now he just has to make it. I am confident that Macbeth will make the right choices, even if it means killing someone. Usually I am a strong confident woman and nothing intimidates me. I always get things my way. Tommorow I will do work around the house and figure out my plans to become queen.

Loneliness
This picture relates to Crooks from Mice and Men and how he is lonely. Slim separated him from the other workers because he was black. Without others to talk to, he's just sitting in his barn wishing to have friends.
Pets
This puppy is a symbol of how Lennie loves soft things. He also loves all types of pets and likes to pet them. Soft things calm Lennie down and helps him listen.
Segregation
I think that this picture of segregation relates to the chapter of the book Mice and Men. Crooks is a black worker that does the same job as the others in the bunkhouse but he has to stay in a separate place by the barn. In the fourth chapter, Lennie meets him and they begin talking to each other. Crooks tells Lennie that he is very lonely and just needs someone to talk to. Suddenly Candy comes in from the bunkhouse and finds Lennie with Crooks, and is at first embarrased to enter his home. Eventually he comes in and they all have a good conversation until Curley's wife pops in looking for him. Candy confronts her, saying nobody wants her at the bunkhouse and that she is a problem for everyone. Curley's wife insults everyone, saying they are all weak and that they can't take care of themselves. This prompts Crooks to tell her to leave, and Curley's wife immediately snaps on him telling him she could get him hurt or killed.

Caregiving
The topic that I chose was caregiving because it really relates to Lennie and George's relationship in mice and men. George is a caregiver to Lennie because he looks after him and makes sure he does the right things. Caregiving is taking care of a person who is an elder or has a disablilty. Types of caregivers are: elderly care, family, patient care assistants. There is also a carers rights movement and a family caregivers alliance.
