Anne Frank's diary

In her diary, Anne wrote to her imaginary friend Kitty about events that happened in her life. She writes about her family, living her life in hiding, the war, and other teenage interests like boys and hobbies. Anne writes about how she has to live in a crowded attic with eight people. she calls the attic "the secret annex" because they had to stay hidden from the war or else they would get captured.  She often got frustrated with the lack of privacy, fights with her mother, sister and loneliness.

Anne Frank's childhood

Anne Frank was just like any other teenage girl. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany on June 12, 1929. Her parents, Edith and Otto Frank gave her a diary on her thirteenth birthday. In 1933 she and her family moved to Amsterdam where her father had a successful company creating jam out of gel. In 1935, Anne and the other Jewish children had to be relocated to different schools. While she was there, she had a fun personality and gained popularity as an energetic girl.
